Cheeky: Katy Perry appears in a new series of print ads to appear nationally this weekend

Pop singer Katy Perry last month became a minority investor in snack company Popchips Inc., joining fellow celebrity endorsers Ashton Kutcher, Heidi Klum and Jillian Michaels.
And now the Fireworks singer is putting her mouth where her money is by becoming a spokeswoman for the savory snack and appearing in a new series of ads.
National print ads featuring the 27-year-old pop sensation will begin running over the weekend.
They feature colorful, portrait-style photographs of the Wide Awake singer in upbeat poses.

Financial interest: The 27-year-old singer became a minority investor in the snack food company, following in the footsteps of fellow celebs Ashton Kutcher, Jillian Michaels and Heidi Klum

The ads carry headlines like 'Love. Without the handles' and 'Spare me the guilt chip'.
Another features Katy holding two chip packets in front her breasts, with the headline: 'Nothing fake about 'em'.
Created by ad agency Zambezi, the ads will run in magazines like Elle, Cosmopolitan, People and Us Weekly.

In behind-the-scenes photos released with the official print ads, Katy is shown in workout gear balancing on an exercise ball and making a heart shape with her hands as a make-up artist gives her a touch up.
In another shot, Katy hams it up for the camera as she appears handcuffed to photographer Arthur Belebeau.
The arrival of the hugely popular singer in the Popchips campaign comes four months after the brand suffered a setback with a campaign - also by Zambezi - that featured Mr. Kutcher playing four quirky characters.

Part of the campaign, in which he played an Indian named Raj, was abruptly withdrawn after widespread complaints in social media that the ads were racist.
As Raj, Kutcher wore 'brown face' and used a sing-song accent.
Popchips is a brand of potato chip that is cooked using high pressure instead of being fried or baked, and are claimed to contain less than half the fat of conventional fried potato chips.
The company is rated by Forbes as among America's top 20 most promising companies in 2011.

In addition to Perry, Kutcher and Michaels, Forbes also reports that investors in the company include celebrities David Ortiz and Sean Combs.
For such a big star, Perry has been sparing with products she chooses to endorse.
Brands which have been lucky enough to benefit from her official approval include acne product Proactiv, and O.P.I. nail polish, which has named a range of colours after the pop star.
