First glimpse: The band have been turned into cartoon characters in new comic book Fame: One Direction
They may already be one of Britain's biggest boybands with a string of hit singles and their own upcoming reality show.
But One Direction have just added another accolade to their ever-growing list of achievements after being immortalised in comic book form.
The five-piece group - made up of Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne - have been transformed into cartoon characters for new book Fame: One Direction.

Published by US company Bluewater Productions, the comic book adventure will tell the tale of the band's meteoric rise to fame over the past 18 months.
The creator's website states: 'Fame: One Direction profiles the journey of the bandmates thus far, starting with when they were first put together on X Factor.'
But it won't just be the What Makes You Beautiful hitmakers who see themselves transformed into cartoon for the new comic.

X Factor boss Simon Cowell will also have a cameo role in the book, created by writer Michael Troy and illustrator Gustavo Rubio.
Bluewater's Fame series already tells the story of the likes of Katy Perry, Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato.
However, this isn't the first time One Direction will have seen themselves in cartoon form.
An A-list cameo: The boys' cartoon characters are joined by music mogul Simon Cowell (R) in comic book form
Earlier this year, the quintet were transformed into superheroes in an animation entitled The Adventurous Adventures of One Direction.
In the short cartoon, the boys save the world from doom at the hands of the evil Lord Faptaguise.
And true to life, Simon Cowell was featured as an overseeing Lord, while Harry tried his luck with an older lady.
In addition to their cartoon form, toy maker Hasbro recently announced it would be manufacturing One Direction action figures.
